With Spring Training coming to a close and Opening Day just a few days away, Orioles Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations Dan Duquette joined Sports Rehab with Glenn Younes and Bob Haynie to discuss the 2014 season for the Black and Orange.
The Orioles are coming off a 85-77 finish in 2013, good enough for a 3rd place finish in the always tough AL East. With the additions for Nelson Cruz and Ubaldo Jimenez, expectations and excitement for the 2014 Orioles are a little higher. “We’re right were we need to be” said Duquette. “We have good core players. Once we get (Manny) Machado back, we’ll be ready to roll.”
Opening Day for the Orioles is this Monday as they host the defending World Series Champions Boston Red Sox at 3:05pm.
