ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County Police have arrested a man in the rape of a pregnant woman in Rockville in 2010.

Jose Antonio Quintano-Claros, 27,was arrested Wednesday and charged with rape and armed robbery. He is being held on a $10 million bond. Online court records do not list a lawyer for him.

Police say in June 2010, the victim was walking along Veirs Mill Road when two men accosted her at knifepoint, forced her into a wooded area and sexually assaulted her. Officers say the men also stole the woman’s purse.

Police say they received a tip that led them to identify Quintano-Claros as a suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for him. Authorities say Quintano-Claros then left the country.

Officers learned that Quintano-Claros had recently returned to the U.S.
