Man Convicted Of Child Abuse In Death Of 6-Week-Old Son
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore City man is convicted of child abuse in the death of his 6-week-old son.
Officers found the infant not breathing in the 300-block of E. 22nd Street back in November 2012.
His father, 21-year-old Dion Ware, initially told police he administered CPR.
An autopsy found multiple injuries, however, and the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.
Ware later admitted to hitting his son because the child would not stop crying.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 10, 2014.
Ware faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.
