The coach of Major League Lacrosse’ Chesapeake Bayhawks Dave Cottle joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn for “Cottle’s Corner”. With the upcoming MLL season looming around the corner, Scott asked coach, what can the fans look forward to this year? “We’ve kind of changed our team. We had kind of a two year plan. We had some older guys who were some great players, some of the greatest to ever play the game. There were some geography issues so we traded one great player for another. So we added five new guys to our roster and we have a core that returns.”

Lacrosse is pushing forward and becoming more a national sport as opposed to the East Coast specifically, and Coach Cottle thinks that there could be some stars out west. “I think that you will find 2 or 3 players and 2 or 3 athletes that are big time Division 1 athletes. “

Scott asked Dave to talk about the differences in coaching lacrosse on a professional level versus the college level. “It’s funny because we have training camps, and what you try to do is bring them in and get them in shape without running them all the time. We want a lot of situations where they have to pass, a lot of situations with shots, while installing a system.”
