1 Person Flown To Shock Trauma After Crash On Rt. 50

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)— A violent, two-vehicle crash on eastbound Rt. 50 and 424 sent one person to Shock Trauma.

Captain Jeff Long reports one vehicle was overturned.

The accident caused major delays around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Both eastbound and westbound lanes were shut down as the Maryland State Police helicopter landed to transport one victim to the hospital.

The crash scene was cleared just before 5 p.m. All lanes have been reopened.

There is no word on the injured person’s medical condition.
