Kenny Albert, play-by-play announcer for the New York Rangers, talks NHL playoffs.

Last night, the Rangers were shut out in the third game of the series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, 2-0. The Rangers were 0-5 in power plays, which has been their problem 0-13 in the series. They were getting shots but weren’t able to make them count.

Three of the Rangers shots hit off the posts, one of which was reviewed that hit off the cross bar.

Pittsburgh scored coming out of the box which is how the Rangers scored two goals in the first round of the playoffs.

“I thought heading into the playoffs, defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks are the favorite,” Albert said.

There are rumors around the NHL of Wayne Gretzky coming to the Capitals started about a month ago.

” I think it would certainly create a buzz,” Albert said.  “The questions would then be who would be the General Manager and head coach. He’s a great guy and the greatest player of all time. ”
