Md. Man Pleads Guilty For Selling Pills That Contained Active Ingredient In Viagra

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- A Maryland man has pleaded guilty to selling pills marketed as dietary supplements for sexual enhancement that contained the active ingredients for the prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis.

Sixty-eight-year-old Richard Deng of Silver Spring pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in Alexandria to introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce, and faces up to three years in prison.

Prosecutors say Deng operated a storefront in Beltsville, Maryland, and over the Internet. He was the subject of a seizure in 2011 but admitted Wednesday that he continued selling the products.

Between 2011 and 2013, he earned about $333,000 from supplements containing the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis. The products sold under a variety of names, including Man King, God of War Veyron and others with even less-subtle double entendres.
