WEATHER BLOG: Sunny Sunday

Weather map features a stagnant area of low pressure over Hudson Bay, Canada.

A cold front trails the low through New England southward along the Atlantic Coast into the DelMarVa where the front washes out. There are a couple of remnant showers associated with the front across the Mid-Atlantic into southern New England. However, these should be gone by the beginning of the day, and any early morning clouds will break for abundant sunshine as surface high pressure gains control.

Legitimately fantastic weather for Mother's Day, with low humidity and pleasantly warm temperatures and low humidity – about as nice a day as one could ask for! Look for a high near 82 w/ an overnight low near 60.

A weak warm front will cross the area, from southwest to northeast, Sunday night, acting as a gateway to even warmer conditions. Some Mid-Atlantic locales may approach or exceed 90 this coming week – along with some gradually increasing humidity.
