WEATHER BLOG: Feeling Like Summer

Although the official start of summer is still about 2.5 weeks away, it certainly has felt like summer Tuesday!

Highs managed to reach into the 80s with dewpoints in the mid 60s.

A round of showers moved through in the afternoon between about 1-3 p.m. but wasn't very impressive here in Baltimore, although areas south and east of us did get a solid drenching.

The actual front associated with all of this rainfall is back across the eastern Great Lakes region. That front will push through Tuesday night and Wednesday allowing for a dry and quiet Wednesday. We will even be a touch less humid and cooler but not by much.

By Wednesday night, our attention will turn to an area of low pressure zipping along quickly in the flow Wednesday night and Thursday, bringing showers and t-storms to the region with most of the activity occurring overnight.

We will need another 12-18 hours to fine-tune our thinking on actual rainfall amounts with this system. For now, anywhere from 0.5" to 1.5" can be expected.
