We did it again–another incredible weekend with lots of sunshine, low humidity and highs in the 80s! All good things must come to an end, though, and this week we will be running the chance for showers and thunderstorms pretty much every day, mainly during the afternoon hours. That doesn’t mean that this week will be a total washout. We will manage to see some sunshine throughout the week, but the humidity will be going up.
A cold front will move into the region Sunday night and stall out on Monday, allowing for more pop-up, garden variety showers and thunderstorms after the noon hour. There will be a boundary present near the area on Tuesday, and some energy feeding into the front will touch off some showers and even a thunderstorm, but it doesn’t look to be an overly active day. The best chance for some real thunderstorm action will come our way late-week as we tap into a lot of moisture.
