An essentially picture-perfect Father’s Day will lead the return of hot and humid conditions this week. High pressure will shift off the coast and to our south Monday ushering in moisture and heat. A weak disturbance will pass through Monday night leading to a spotty shower or t-storm Monday afternoon and evening.
The hot and humid conditions will lead to increased instability across the area, which means that daily chances for shower and t-storm activity will be in the forecast. Wednesday has the potential to approach record highs for the date with a warm westerly breeze in place. BWI could easily climb to 95, falling just 2 degrees shy of the record set back in 1957.
