Scott Garceau and Jeremy Conn welcome Matt Zenitz to talk Ravens and football on 105.7 The Fan.

Like everyone else, Matt Z says he is looking forward to the young players progressing through camp. There is a lot of dependence on the young players. There is a lot of enthusiasm and optimism towards the defense lineman in camp. Zenitz said he is really excited about what Kapron Lewis-Moore will do to Raven’s defense. The Ravens have a lot of expectations from Kapron when they drafted him. Zenitz say that “the coaches and teammates think he is doing well and progressing more.”

On the offense side, it will be interesting especially for the running backs. We will most likely here about Ray Rice’s suspension in the next week or so. Although we are still waiting to hear about Rice’s future, we still have young and talented running backs including Bernard Pierce and rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro. Also another player, Aaron Mallete, wide receiver for the Ravens, had to end his rookie season pretty early last year. He is apparently still having knee issues.

Ravens just let go of linebacker Adrian Hamilton. He was on the practice squad two years ago and had a wrist injury. Ravens probably let him go early because Hamilton will most likely be picked up by another team.

Although the Ravens are looking at Brandon flowers, “it will be unrealistic for him to end up here. He is going to be a starting corner no matter where he is.” Ravens already have a couple of great cornerbacks including Webb and Smith. It is the Ravens biggest strengths.
