WEATHER BLOG: It's Getting Hot In Here

Up until Tuesday, the highest temp so far this year has been 90. Tuesday we squeezed out a high of 94, which is just 2 degrees shy of the record high temperature for June 17.

We've got yet another hot day coming up Wednesday with temperatures getting at least as high as they did Tuesday… if not even hotter.

Even though Wednesday will be a very hot day, humidity levels will be a touch lower as some good vertical mixing occurs in the atmosphere.

A frontal boundary will sink farther south, and that could cause some scattered t-storm activity across the region, particularly for areas north of the metro. Any t-storms Wednesday could be locally strong to severe, bringing downpours, gusty winds and hail. More unsettled weather can then be expected into Wednesday night and Thursday.
