WEATHER BLOG: Welcome To Tropical Season

Hi, everyone.

Well, life is getting active on the weather front this week as a slow-moving cold front is trying to bust through. A hot and humid air mass will give us a chance of widespread thunderstorms Tuesday-Thursday.

What is of interest even more is a developing area of low pressure off the SE coast. It might darn well get the name Arthur. Modeling suggests it will head NE out to sea, but nonetheless welcome to tropical season. It is this low that will keep a cold front from just getting to and thru the area, and hence the disturbed weather three days not just one.

If the numbers have worked out correctly, we will clear it out for the 4th. That is certainly something we will watch for you.
