Police: Explosions At Md. Home In Domestic Dispute

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Police say a man suspected of detonating explosives at his father-in-law's home in a domestic dispute has been arrested in northern Virginia.

Montgomery County Police say 36-year-old Marc Cassell was banging on the front door of the home on Marcliff Road in Bethesda early Sunday morning.

The father-in-law saw sparks and smoke coming into his home. Then, according to police, a second explosive device detonated near the garage and caused significant damage.

No one was injured.

Police say Cassell and his wife are involved in an ongoing divorce and custody dispute.

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia arrested Cassell later Sunday and were holding him pending extradition.
