MASN' Steve Melewski Joins Scott and Jeremy

MASN' Steve Melewski joined Scott and Jeremy on 105.7 the Fan Wednesday to wrap up the Angels series and preview what moves the birds could make during the trade deadline.
Jonathan Schoop hit well last night including a homer.  Not only has his offense been hitting well, including eight homeruns on the road, has earned his spot playing second base, as well.  According to Melewski, Schoop is "above average defensively."  He also has a great arm and a great turn to make that double play.  If the O's really need him, Schoop could play third base, especially with that strong arm of his.  Schoop plays a good part for the Orioles, offensively and defensively.   It would be smart for the Orioles if Schoop finishes his development on the major league level.  As a 22 year old, Schoop could learn a lot at this level.
Now the Orioles are still looking for catchers.  Recently, Joseph and Huntley have not been doing well, offensively.  Right now it is up in the air for trading, we might see some new names in the media sometime soon.
Tonight, the Orioles have Tillman pitching tonight.  According to Melewski, " he has settle down."  His past ten starts have been looking pretty decent.  He struggled when he first came out but has certainly made a difference.  Melewski says that it was "good to make the move to get Tillman."
