Several Treated After Frederick Apartment Fire

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say several people have been injured in an early morning apartment fire in Frederick, Maryland.

Officials say firefighters were called to 1465 Key Parkway about 2:15 a.m. Monday.

Authorities say ten occupants of the building were treated and taken to medical facilities, and four were transported to area burn centers.

Firefighters worked for about forty-five minutes to extinguish the fire, which displaced 24 people and left six apartments uninhabitable.

The American Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.

The county fire marshal's office continues to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
