WEATHER BLOG: Gorgeous August
Here we are… it is August 18th and so far we have not had one 90° day this month! It's hard to believe that September will be getting underway in about two weeks. We are surely running out of time for any long duration heat wave this year. We definitely don't have any hot, oppressive weather in our forecast for the next week or so. On the latest weather map, we have low pressure centered over WV, a ridge of high pressure nosing down into the NE and then another are of low pressure in the Northern Plain states. It is becoming more and more apparent that the first feature will miss us just to the south, causing only cloudiness and a stray shower here or there. Our best chance for rain will come with the feature over the Northern Plains as it moves towards our neighborhood late Wednesday into Thursday.
