WEATHER BLOG: Nice Weather And Plenty Of Sunshine

High pressure is providing us with some nice weather on this beautiful Friday. However, it is rather cool, especially in most areas outside the larger cities. Temperatures will be in the low 80s, and there will be plenty of sunshine to go around. As we've been pointing out over the past few days, the axis of this ridge of high pressure will be slowly drifting away from the Eastern Seaboard over the next 48 hours.

While "Cristobal" is still going to be kicking up quite a bit of rough surf at the beaches, it will continue its trek as it heads into the North Atlantic. This will pave the way for a nice start to the upcoming Labor Day weekend.  Later in the evening on Friday the sky should be clear to partly cloudy and it will not be as cool as Thursday night. Most temperatures will be in the mid or upper 60s.

If we were to rank the weather during each of the three days this coming weekend, Saturday would easily be the nicest day for planned outdoor activities. Even though high clouds will probably manage to dim our sunshine later in the day, the first half of Saturday should feature a good deal of sunshine. Then on Sunday and Labor Day there is a close call on both days with a approaching cool front.
