Man's Body Found Along Anacostia River Trail

COTTAGE CITY, Md. (AP) -- Police are investigating the discovery of a man's body along the Anacostia River trail in Cottage City.

Lt. Brian Waters, a spokesman for the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, says the man appeared to have suffered from trauma to the upper body. The body was discovered Saturday.

Park police are working with Prince George's County police to investigate what led to the man's death. Investigators are working to identify the man, as well as suspects and a motive in the case.
