Md. Casinos Break Revenue Record With $80M In August
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Maryland casinos are celebrating a record-breaking month, thanks to a boost in business from Baltimore's new casino.
The Horseshoe, which opened August 26, raked in $5.7 million from its slots and table games in just the first six days. That's nearly $1 million a day!
In all, Maryland's five casinos earned $80 million in August, shattering the earlier record of $77 million.
