Behind The Scenes Look Into TNF At M&T Bank Stadium

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- CBS isn't holding anything back for its first ever Thursday night game. After a $275 million investment the network is promising fans a one of a kind show with a Super Bowl type feel.

WJZ's Rick Ritter gives us a sneak peek behind the scenes.

After months of anticipation the wait is finally over.

The city of Baltimore and M&T Bank Stadium will soon be part of CBS history.

"This is one of the biggest initiatives CBS Sports has had," said Ken Aagaard, Executive VP of CBS Sports Operations.

CBS and the NFL Network are pulling out all the stops for its can't miss prime time event.

"To me it has kind of a Super Bowl feel when you look at the cast of thousands who are here," said James Brown.

Thirteen trucks decked out from top to bottom and thousands of cables.

Two different sets, one outside the stadium and another on the sidelines as well as more than 30 cameras and 300 crew members.

Including some of the networks top talent like James Brown who calls Thursday a once in a lifetime opportunity.

"Never take that for granted. This is pretty exciting to do over the air broadcast on Thursday night," Brown said.

CBS sports says they couldn't have picked a better match-up to kick off Thursday Night Football. This rivalry dates back to 1996. The Steelers are ahead in the all-time series but the Ravens have won 4 of the last 6 games.

"It's going to be a hard-hitting affair. It's going to be tenacious, it's a division rivalry," Brown said.

"This is one of the best ones in the game," said Deion Sanders.

Toss in Thursday night lights in Baltimore on America's most watched network, there's nothing quite like it.

"When you walk here and see all of this, it just underscores and embellishes that this is significant," Brown said.

One security guard tells WJZ that he's worked at the stadium for years but he's never seen a set-up quite like Thursday night's. CBS is urging fans to stop by the pre-game set Thursday at Gate A, and be a part of history.

To honor victims of the September 11th attacks, all fans will receive a mini American flag when entering tonight's game.
