Mother Refuses To Give Police Missing Kids' Whereabouts

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- The search continues. Two Montgomery County toddlers are still missing. The person they were last seen with -- their mother -- has been arrested.

Marcus Washington reports she refuses to give police the children's whereabouts.

The search continues in Montgomery County for three-year-old Sarah and two-year-old Jacob Hoggle.

"I just want my freaking kids back," the children's father said.

The children were last seen with their mother, Catherine Hoggle, who was also thought to be missing before police arrested her wandering the streets and stores of Germantown.

"I've met the babies and they're sweet and wonderful and I'm frankly terrified and worried and I want to pray," said Sue Gordon, church member.

Diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, Hoggle refuses to tell police where the children are, but says they are safe.

"I don't know the family well, but I can only imagine what they must be going through," church member Jan Summers said.

Still in fear and with the clock ticking, volunteers continue to do their part to help find the children by passing out fliers to any and everyone.

The church where both children were baptized held a prayer service last week for Sarah and Jacob's return, saying they will do whatever it takes.

"To find the babies and to find them well and healthy and to get them back to their family," said Gordon.

Catherine Hoggle faces several charges, including child neglect. Police say the search will continue Monday.
