Baltimore Man Sentenced To 9 Years For 8-Day Robbery Spree
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore man was sentenced Thursday for an 8-day robbery spree of area convenience stores in July 2013.
Monte Glascoe, 24, was sentenced to nine years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for robbery and brandishing a gun in furtherance of a robbery. U.S. District Judge William D. Quarles, Jr. also ordered Glascoe to pay restitution to the victims totaling $2,625.
According to the his plea agreement, last year Glascoe, along with two co-defendants Gary Howard and Michael Emmanuel Smith, robbed at least seven Baltimore 7-Eleven stores between July 18 through July 26. The 7-Eleven stores were located throughout the city.
The men would choose a store to rob, steal a car to use in the robbery and while Glascoe would pull out a gun and point it at the victims, who were employees of 7-Eleven, Howard and Smith would steal money from the registers and employees, cigarettes and other merchandise, cell phones from employees as well as a folding knife.
Howard, 34, and Smith, 28, both of Baltimore, pleaded guilty to the robberies previously. Howard was sentenced to 235 months on Sept. 2 and Smith is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 1.
