We Won't Stop Rally Gets Orioles Fans Pumped Ahead Of Playoffs

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Playoff pandemonium. Orioles fans say we haven't been here in so long, they are taking every moment to celebrate.

Marcus Washington has more on Monday's excitement.

We still have three days before the first game against the Detroit Tigers but as you're about to see, fans say it's never too early to celebrate.

"I think it's going to be awesome and I just can't wait for it to start," said one fan.

More than 100 people started their afternoon cheering on the O's at Stevenson University.

"I'm really excited. I didn't have to go very far to support the Orioles. it's right here at my school. I am supporting Stevenson's team and the Orioles team," said Shanice Simpson.

What better place to hold a pep rally than in front of the Stevenson University mascot named Victory? That's something fans are hoping to see during this playoff run.

"That's the plan. We'll cheer them all we can," said a fan.

This event is just one of many Orioles' planned pep rallies called "We Won't Stop," giving fans of all ages time to cheer.

"We came out to celebrate because of this one right here. He is an Orioles fan. Every day, he's saying, `Orioles game, Daddy? Orioles game?' So that's the main reason," said fan Michael Brandy.

Fans get opportunities to meet past and present Orioles players and even get a few prizes.

Tickets to the series sold out in less than 15 minutes after going on sale Monday morning.

"It feels unbelievable. I can't believe I actually won. I never win anything and I am so excited to just be a part of it," said fan Erica Gryctz.

If you couldn't make Monday's pep rally, there will another rally on Oct. 3 at the plaza at Pratt and Light streets.
