An Exciting Time In Baltimore

Mike Gibbons, from Sports Legends Museum, talks with The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora. The Baltimore Orioles had there ALDS series with The Detroit Tigers last week and Mike said he took his adult son to the game on Thursday and his son said he never heard the crowd so loud and Friday was even better. "It's an exciting time to be a Baltimore Oriole right now."
The guys talked to Mike regarding Baltimore being a black hole in baseball and all the bad luck they have had.  The fans have been true, but there have been some who have, rightfully so, dropped off.  The excitement in this town is long overdue and warranted.  "The ballpark is packed with 20 something  and 30 something fans.  When you get to experience a baseball pennant race day after day, there is nothing to equal it.  Baltimore is a baseball town."
The game against Detroit, when the O's were down and Delmon Young delivered a pinch hit, 3 run double to put the Orioles ahead and eventually win game 2 of the series, was so exciting.  Mike stated, "MASN is going to rebroadcast it again tonight and I'm sure it will have huge ratings."
Getting away from baseball briefly, Scott asked Mike his thoughts on the Maryland Terps transition to the Big 10.  "I think we are starting to understand [laughs].   "There were 400 Terp fans and alum there for the game against Ohio State University.   Even though we got slaughtered it was great to watch Ohio State on our turf."
