Orioles Fall to 0-2 In ALCS against Kansas City Royals

The Orioles entered the ALCS with home field advantage against the Kansas City Royals. That advantage has now shifted to Kansas City as Baltimore dropped their first two games including a 6-4 loss on Saturday at Orioles Park at Camden Yards.
Alcides Escobar hit a double in the top of the 9th for the go-ahead run and Baltimore was unable to come back. It's been a great series so far in the ALCS, but the Orioles trail two games and will now have to head on the road for 3 straight games at Kauffman Stadium. For Baltimore to have a chance, they'll have to win at least 2 out of the next 3 in Kansas City before coming back to Camden Yards for the final 2 games of the series.
The Royals have to feel good knowing that no team has ever won 2 games on the road and failed to advance to the World Series.
But the Orioles aren't feeling too down on themselves. They're a resilient bunch who have played the role of underdog for most of the season.
"The series ain't over," stated Adam Jones after Game 2 of the ALCS. "If you guys think it's over, why are we showing up on Monday?"
Baltimore still has an opportunity to achieve something they haven't accomplished since 1983. But to do it, they'll need to win 4 out of the next 5 games.
"If one team can do it, it's us," said Nelson Cruz.
