AAA: Md. Drivers Will See Lower Gas Prices In Coming Weeks

BALTIMORE (WJZ)- The price at the pump is on a downward trend in Maryland.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says drivers will likely see the lowest gas prices since 2010 in the coming weeks.

Some areas of the Eastern Shore and neighboring Delaware and Virginia could see the average price of gas at less than $3 a gallon before the end of the year.

However, much of Maryland will see a downward trend, but not below $3 a gallon.

AAA says the projection is based on relatively inexpensive crude oil prices, healthy supplies, low demand, and barring any unexpected calamities that could threaten supply, production or distribution of oil or gasoline.

Maryland's average price at the pump at $3.23 per gallon on Friday has dropped to the lowest level since November 13, 2013. The state average is seven cents lower than a week ago, 14 cents less than last month, and nine cents lower than the price on this date last year.
