Man Claiming To Be 7-Eleven Clerk Confesses He Wasn't Robbed On Air

BALTIMORE (WJZ/105.7TheFan) -- A Baltimore man claiming he was a 7-Eleven clerk said he was robbed on the air with CBS Sports Radio last week, but now confesses it wasn't true.

A 33 year-old clerk named Will called into 105.7 The Fan's syndicated overnight show on CBS Sports Radio and was talking with host Damon Amendolara about the Orioles being down 3-0 in the ALCS.

He was in the middle of a rap at 3:30 a.m. when he made a quick, but polite exit saying "DA, let me call you back. I'm being robbed."

According to a police report, a 7-Eleven was robbed at 3224 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore on Oct. 15, but police could not confirm if the report was made by the same man.

On Monday, Will called back the DA show and confessed he lied about the whole thing.

"DA I have a confession to make, that wasn't really what happened," Will says 8 minutes into the call. " The truth is a little less sexier than that.

"I was on the phone rapping with you guys and the next thing I know there was a regular customer trying to wheeze the juice out of the Slurpee machine and I didn't want him to mess up my mopped floor so I had to go over and body check him into the machine," Will explained.
