Maryland Man Wanted In Virginia Killing Found Dead

BRISTOW, Va. (AP) -- A Maryland man wanted in a Virginia woman's killing has been found dead of apparent suicide.

Prince William County police say officers found the body of 35-year-old Edward Hale of Glen Burnie near baseball fields at a school in the Bristow, Va. area on Monday.

Hale had been wanted for the murder of his girlfriend, 31-year-old Jessica Leigh Wilson. Police say Hale shot Wilson just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday in Bristow after the two had been arguing. Hale fled in a Honda Accord. Wilson died at a hospital.

Police found Hale's body shortly after finding the Honda Accord near an elementary school, prompting officials to lock down two schools as they searched for Hale. They say it appeared that Hale died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
