WEATHER BLOG: Getting Cooler, Then Colder
A band of slowly moving showers will continue to press west to east across the are this afternoon bringing us mainly light rainfall or sprinkles.
Rainfall is associated with a cold front that will be moving through today and the rain is expected to taper off this evening.
This front will be bringing a dose of cooler weather, not colder weather through the end of the week.
Another system and it's associated cold front will bring us a dose of reality by the weekend dropping temperatures anywhere from 5-15° below our seasonal average.
This will occur as a developing wave of low pressure moves off the East Coast bringing us a chance of showers overnight Friday into Saturday.
For now the idea is that precip should hold off for the trick-or-treaters on Halloween.
