NAACP To Hold 2017 Convention In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The NAACP will hold its 2017 convention in Baltimore.

The civil rights group announced the selection of Baltimore on Wednesday. The convention will take place from July 22 to July 26, 2017. It will be the group's 108th annual convention.

Tessa Hill-Aston, president of the Baltimore NAACP branch, had said in an email in July that the 2016 convention would be held in Baltimore. But the national group said then that while Baltimore was among the cities being considered for a convention, the board of directors had not made a decision.
