WEATHER BLOG: Friday

Stuck between one system off shore and another developing system diving through the Great Lakes the Baltimore region will remain fairly quiet.

There will be sunshine to start, but as the Great Lakes system approaches there will be a few clouds bleeding into the area. At this point we are calling for tonight to be dry, but it is worth a mention that one or two showers could show up late tonight.

Tomorrow will be the better chance for rainfall as the two systems in the area start consolidate around one area of low pressure (the Great Lakes low pressure will become the primary system).

At this point we are looking for just a few showers, but some of the models are indicating a steadier rain could develop from a weak inverted trough backing westward into the area. So with these concerns out there it could be a little more damp, mainly tomorrow morning.

This system moves away on Sunday and while it will remain chilly there will at least be some sunshine. It will also remain windy and chilly.

On Monday high pressure will slide to the south of the area and we'll pick up some westerly winds as a result and this will cause a milder afternoon. It will turn milder still on Tuesday and continue into Wednesday.
