Md. Candidates For Governor Are Making Their Final Campaign Stops

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--The countdown is on! Only three days left until voters cast their ballots for the next governor of Maryland.

Rick Ritter spent time on the campaign trail with both candidates.

Both candidates are making some of their final stops.

Republican Larry Hogan was in Ellicott City on Saturday.

Democrat Anthony Brown spent most of his day in Baltimore.

Both seem calm and confident with only a few days left.

With less than 72 hours until Election Day, both candidates took their final swing at Maryland voters.

On Saturday, Brown hits the streets of Baltimore, shaking a few more hands and delivering his message.

"Every day we're going to be fighting for working families and middle class values," Brown said.

To gain power on the ballot, Hogan needs Democrats to cross over--something he's confident in to say the least.

"We feel really great," Hogan said. "It seems like Democrats, Independents and Republicans are looking for a change of direction in our state."
Early voting numbers certainly showed positive signs but with only a few days left there's still plenty of undecided voters, something both candidates are dialed in on.

"We're going to continue to travel to communities around the state, me, [Ken]Ulman and thousands of volunteers," Brown said.

"We're traveling all around the state and just trying to reach as many people as we can and get them out to polls," Hogan said.

The candidates are hoping it all pays off come Tuesday

Gov. Chris Christie returns to Maryland on Sunday to rally with Hogan.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama makes her way to Maryland to campaign with Brown on Monday.
