More Details Revealed In Md. School Shooting Plot
MONKTON, Md. (WJZ) -- New details are released on the teen accused of planning a school shooting. Police were able to intervene before he unleashed his plot at a Baltimore County high school.

WJZ obtained charging documents, revealing the 16-year-old was also planning to kill his parents and also explaining a possible motive for the boy's deadly plot.

Good police work uncovers a violent plan to attack George Washington Carver Center for the Arts and Technology in Towson.
While a Baltimore County officer was interrogating 16-year-old Sash Alexander Nemphos for breaking into cars, the teen opened up about his deadly plot.
"It was kind of a shocker to me because it didn't really seem like him and I just want the best for him." James Jordan said.
Jordan lives down the street from Nemphos in Monkton. He says the two were friends who used to hang out.
"I mean, I don't know what he's doing now and who he's hanging out with, but it's not the same person I hung out with," he said.
School officials say he never displayed signs of trouble.
"What can we do to help this child? And obviously, mental health issues, behavioral issues," said Dale Rauenzahn, executive director of school safety.
WJZ got a hold of the charging documents that paint a disturbed teen with a vicious plan. The high school sophomore showed officers the gun he stole from his father's work, explaining he was going to kill his parents with it and then drive to school. His intent was to kill the school officer and then take his weapon and ammunition and deploy three crude homemade explosives. He would shoot anyone who attempted to thwart his plan and students who have bullied him in the past.
Nemphos also revealed he brought the gun to campus on Halloween, but was too drunk on whiskey to carry out his plan and forgot his explosives, adding he had plans to try again on Nov. 3.
Police caught him just in time.
"Happily in this case we saw there was trouble on the horizon and we were able to stop it before it occurred," said Elise Armacost, Baltimore County Police Department.

Officers say Sash Alexander Nemphos had a journal with the detailed plan as well as a suicide note inside. Nemphos told officers he was bullied and his teachers never tried to help.
Sash Nemphos is facing six charges as an adult, including handgun possession. He remains held without bail at a juvenile detention facility.
A Baltimore County Public School official told WJZ that they take these threats seriously but can't comment because of privacy issues.
