Vigil Held For Postal Worker Who Was Killed On The Job Last Year

LANDOVER, Md. (WJZ)—A Maryland postal carrier killed last year is remembered.

Family and friends gathered at a vigil in Landover to remember 26-year-old Tyson Jerome Barnette.

Barnette was killed while delivering mail after dark just before Thanksgiving last year.

Prince George's County police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are still investigating his death.

Since 2010, Barnette is the seventh mail carrier to die in the United States.
