Winner Named In WJZ-TV's Mammoth Manic Monday Meltdown

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore tradition continues on WJZ. There was another big crowd for Monday morning's 17th Annual Mammoth Manic Monday Meltdown at Jimmy's in Fells Point.

Ron Matz has more on who takes home the big prizes for 2014.

It's the Mammoth Manic Monday Meltdown and another big turnout, a chance to see old friends like the Coach---and Don Scott.

We couldn't miss the Rave Hons, Fan Man and the Blast Cheerleaders. Woodstock won the first spirit awards.

"Thanks to everyone who voted for Woodstock Job Corps Center. We have a lot of spirit at Woodstock," said LaTonya Gordon, Woodstock Job Corps Center.

Coppin State is a spirit winner, too.

"We're excited. We know that we have a lot of Coppin Pride and we're glad to know that Baltimore City knows we have just as much Coppin Pride," said Josalyn Bryant, Coppin State University.

Mars Supermarket won the big one and took home the Valentino! Excitement was all around.

"This is the first year we've done it and I'm so excited because we actually really won! I can't even express it.," said Joyce Hepburn, Mars Supermarket. "We had people from Maryland, of course, voting. Delaware, Virginia, New York---we got them all going. We would like to thank everyone who voted for us, including our friends and customers."

During the week leading up to the Mammoth Manic Monday Meltdown, more than 100,000 votes were cast at www.cbsbaltimore.com.
