Sauerbrey And Bentley To Help Gov.-Elect Hogan Transition

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov.-elect Larry Hogan has named more members of his transition team in Maryland.

Hogan, a Republican, named some prominent Maryland Republicans and a well-known Democrat to the team on Tuesday.

They include former Republican Rep. Helen Bentley and Ellen Sauerbrey. Sauerbrey ran twice against former Democratic Gov. Parris Glendening, nearly defeating him in 1994.

Former Montgomery County Executive Doug Duncan, a Democrat, also is on the team.

Hogan has said he wants to take a bipartisan approach in putting together his administration, which officially begins Jan. 21.

The three were among about 20 new members of Hogan's transition team.

Harford County Executive David Craig, who ran against Hogan in the Republican primary, also is on the team. Craig's running mate, Del. Jeannie Haddaway, is on the team, too.
