Stolen Ambulance Ends In Fatal Crash

GREENBELT, Md. (WJZ) --- One man has died after a stolen Prince George's County ambulance crashed.

The stolen ambulance crashed and was overturned at Greenbelt Road and 62nd Avenue near Joe's Crab Shack. The ambulance hit approximately seven other vehicles. Eleven vehicles were involved in the crash altogether.

According to police, three people were transported for medical attention. One of them is in critical condition.

The Branchville ambulance was stolen on the inner loop of Rt. 1 traveling towards Greenbelt. The ambulance's crew was kicked out of the vehicle. Police said two Branchville fire volunteers were assaulted during the ambulance theft. Both of the fire volunteers are fine.
