Warney, McGrew Lead Stony Brook Over Loyola 67-52

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -- Jameel Warney came off the bench to score 18 points and grab 11 rebounds and Rayshaun McGrew scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half to lead Stony Brook to a 67-52 win over Loyola-Maryland on Sunday.

The Seawolves (6-6) made 14 of 24 shots and 12 of 15 free throws in the second half to break away from a 26-26 tie.

Carson Puriefoy had 16 points and 5 assists for Stony Brook. McGrew grabbed 10 rebounds as the Seawolves won the boards 37-29.

Cam Gregory had 14 points for the Greyhounds (3-7).

Loyola took a 35-32 lead on Tyler Hubbard's 3-pointer three minutes into the second half. Bryan Sekunda answered with a three in a 9-0 surge that McGrew ended with a pair of inside baskets. McGrew scored three more baskets as that run went to 16-4 for a 48-39 lead with 8:45 left.
