3 Charged In Md. Transplant Survivor's Killing

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say they've arrested three people on murder and robbery charges in the death of a 26-year-old kidney-transplant survivor killed in his home earlier this month.

Police said Wednesday that 34-year-old Dion Sobotker, 26-year-old Samantha Parker and 33-year-old Latoya Morgan have been arrested in the death of 26-year-old Jonathan Harris. Police did not immediately release further details and it's unclear whether the three have attorneys.

Harris' mother found her son's body in their Silver Spring home on Dec. 6. His cause of death is under investigation.

Harris had participated in a kidney-transplant exchange involving 32 people in 2010 that was featured on the "Today" show.

Jonathan Harris' kidney failed when he was 12. A donation by his brother also failed, leading him to join the kidney exchange.
