Santa Claus Anonymous Provides Christmas For Children
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Santa Claus Anonymous celebrates its 80th year providing gift certificates for thousands of children in Baltimore who go without gifts during the holidays.
The nonprofit organization distributed 10,500 gift certificates this holiday, including 4,000 families that receive help from Baltimore City Department of Social Services.
Santa Claus Anonymous provides $20 gift certificate vouchers redeemable at local stores to help families purchase toys, clothing or books as holiday presents for their children.
"The need for donations is ever present and there's still time for Maryland residents to donate this year," president of the Santa Claus Anonymous Board of Directors, David Blumberg said.
Santa Claus Anonymous says: "The greater the number of people who donate, the greater the number of families in Baltimore City and Maryland who will be able to give their children a Christmas,"
Santa Claus Anonymous is a Baltimore-based non-profit organization founded in 1934.
