Soldier From Md. To Be Buried At Arlington National Cemetery
SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A soldier from Wicomico County who was killed in Afghanistan will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
The Daily Times of Salisbury reports 48 -year-old Sgt. Maj. Wardell B. Turner of Nanticoke will be buried Monday at the cemetery outside Washington.
The Pentagon announced Turner was killed Nov. 24 in Kabul when a vehicle carrying an improvised explosive device attacked his vehicle. Also killed in the incident was 27-year-old Spc. Joseph W. Riley of Grove City, Ohio.
