2 Injured In Collision In Howard County

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police say two people are in serious condition after a car wreck in Columbia.

Police say the crash occurred at roughly 1 p.m. on Saturday. Police say the driver of a Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound on Waterloo Road when the vehicle went over the center line and struck a Toyota RAV 4 head-on.

Both drivers were alone in their vehicles and both were taken to Shock Trauma, where they are in serious condition. Police say they were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.

Police say they are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the wreck.
