WEATHER BLOG: First Snow Of 2015
Hi Everyone!
Ya ready. Here it comes. The first snow of the season. Meh. (You know me, sunny, and 80 is the ticket.)
Here is how it comes down, literally.
A fast moving "clipper" will spread this 1-2 inches of snow across the area mainly tomorrow morning.
Certainly by early afternoon it will be gone. In other words it will take a long time to happen so the DRAMATIC impact should not be all that great. What lay behind that snow I think is the bigger headline and that would be the coldest air of the season, so far.
On Wednesday the highs and lows will be 29/9..normal would be 42/25. YIKES! And it really, over the "five day', gets no warmer than the low to mid 30's. Hey it's January.
None of this is unexpected to be honest. If you chart our Winter weather it is always just after the New Year when the bottom falls out and conditions get iffy. This will be the case through this month. Usually the weather calms down in February. But we have a long month to get through.
I try look at it this way….. each day is one step closer to Spring. If I don't look at it that way I'll go nuts-LOL!!!
