2 Boys, 17, Charged With Setting Fire To School Bus

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is charging two 17-year-old boys with setting a fire that destroyed a school bus worth $100,000.

Deputy First Class Amanda Hatcher said Wednesday the youths also doused two other public school buses with gasoline early on the morning of Oct. 26, but didn't set those vehicles on fire.

She says the buses were parked at Oakdale High School in New Market.

Both boys are charged as juveniles with first-degree malicious burning, two counts of attempted first-degree malicious burning and destruction of property over $500.
