Another Extremely Cold Morning In Md.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The coldest air of the winter and the coldest since last February is over the mid-Atlantic region right now.

The current wind chill is minus 6 degrees in the Baltimore area. A wind chill advisory will remain in effect for the western Md. until 1 p.m.

That doesn't mean that Thursday will be warm by any measure, Marty Bass explains, there will really be a difference come tomorrow.

Today, high temperatures will only top out at around 23 degrees or so. Our normal high is 41! Wind chills during the day will generally be from 5 above to about 15 above all day long. So dress warmly!

We will see a chance of some more snow flurries or snow showers later Today and another shot on early Saturday morning or late Friday night.

It will get above freezing for several hours on Friday and we may get to a high of 36 degrees or so before more arctic air comes back on Saturday.

The good news is that by Sunday and Monday slightly milder air will make in- roads here with it getting to 40 degrees once again! Please bring in those precious pets and stay warm, wear layers and hats and gloves and scarves!
