More Than 150 Cars Spray Painted In Columbia

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) -- More than 150 cars were vandalized in Columbia, Howard County police report, when they were spray painted.

Police are now hoping to find out who is responsible.

The vandalism has occurred overnight since Dec. 15 -- where words like "Jack Boys" and letters "HS" along with other markings have been painted on vehicles.

Incidents were in:

  • Dec. 15 in the 7500 block of Monarch Mills Way.
  • Dec. 20 in the 9600 block of Whiteacre Rd./5800 block of Thunder Hill Rd.
  • Dec. 21 in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Rd.
  • Dec. 27 in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Rd.
  • Dec. 31 in the 5500 block of Waterloo Rd.
  • Dec. 31 in the 8300 block of Tamar Dr.
  • Jan. 14 in the 7500 block of Murray Hill Rd.

Police don't believe the vandalism is gang-related or hate-bias.

Anyone who may have information is urged to call (410) 313-STOP. Police are offering a reward of up to $750 for information. Callers may remain anonymous.
