BALTIMORE (AP/WJZ) -- Baltimore will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King with art shows, performances, children's activities and roundtable discussions at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.

The museum will host a roundtable discussion Monday about civil rights and the evolving relationship between the police and the populace in light of the events in Ferguson, Missouri. The discussion will feature Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts, Councilman Nick Mosby and others.

The museum is also hosting an a cappella quartet, a group comprised of drummers and poets and a storytelling group that will share oral histories of figures active in the civil rights movement. The museum will also unveil a community quilt and encourage visitors to post their feelings and thoughts on a "Face It" wall.

Port Discovery is also open to the public for free Monday as well.

There will be featured exhibits, including information on quilt-making with the African-American Quilters of Baltimore.

Visitors can also see memorabilia from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and meet Luther Atkinson, a former player
