Report: Ravens Tipped Off Colts About Patriots Deflating Balls

BALTIMORE (105.7 The Fan) --According to a report, the Ravens may have warned the the Colts about The Patriots deflating balls.

Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported, "The Indianapolis Colts were tipped off to this before the game ever even happened. Whether or not it was from the last time they played, I was told it was people from inside Baltimore, from the Baltimore Ravens."

"The NFL was already planning to inspect the balls at halftime, despite D'Qwell Jackson's interception originally being reported as the cause."

Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano is a former Ravens Defensive Coordinator.

Much has been made of the fact that the Patriots defeated the Colts by such a large margin (45-7) that the deflated balls didn't make much of a difference in the outcome.

But, if the Baltimore Ravens were also a victim of the alleged cheating in their divisional round loss it could call into question the validity of the outcome.

The Ravens had a 14 point lead twice only to watch the Patriots come back, mainly through the air, both times and ultimately lost the game by 4 points 35-31.

The Patriots threw the ball 51 times for 408 yards and ran the ball only 13 times for 14 yards in the match-up.

Ravens Head coach John Harbaugh has previously said that they didn't notice anything: "We never had a ball that they used or anything like that on offense, so we don't know anything about that in our game. We didn't have a chance to handle any of their offensive footballs."
